Challenge
The objective was to evolve an existing lighting control application into a unified platform capable of handling diverse device types and operational scenarios.
From standard luminaires and sensors to emergency lighting devices, the platform extended its scope to support commissioning, configuration, and periodic testing in compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. At the same time, it needed to support these workflows across different operational roles without increasing day-to-day complexity.
Solution
HaasCONNECT PRO was designed as a unified mobile platform for lighting control, commissioning, and system operation.
It introduces a consistent device model for DALI-based lighting systems, enabling unified discovery, configuration, and control within a single interface. The mobile experience abstracts system complexity through a structured, icon-based interaction model with contextual information where needed.
Manual Test Flow
The interface provides access to manual emergency lighting tests, including duration, function, and inspection testing. These workflows are designed to support structured commissioning and maintenance processes within a single operational view.
Emergency lighting was addressed through a dedicated UX and workflow design within an iPad application, focused on the operational and regulatory requirements of commissioning, functional testing, and battery duration testing of emergency luminaires.
Test Results Overview
The system provides a consolidated view of emergency lighting test results, enabling users to quickly assess the overall status and health of an installation. It supports efficient evaluation of completed tests and helps identify devices that require further attention or maintenance.
The interface was designed around clear, task-oriented flows, enabling both commissioning engineers and maintenance personnel to execute complex procedures in a straightforward way. Reporting was integrated to ensure full compliance with legal documentation requirements.
Reports & History
The system provides structured reporting of test executions, including status tracking for completed and failed tests. It ensures traceability of results and supports follow-up actions where issues are identified.

The platform established a unified system for managing diverse lighting environments within a single mobile solution.
