Ledvance GmbH – a global lighting technology company specializing in general, industrial, and smart home solutions, headquartered in Munich.

Ledvance's goal was to create an innovative system based on DALI and Zigbee foundations, enabling the fast and efficient installation, digital project management, and optimization of lighting for large office buildings and industrial sites. The central element of the system is the Gateway developed by Ledvance, which, as a controller, provides cloud connectivity, remote diagnostics, energy monitoring, and IoT functions.

To complement the gateway, two native applications were required for lighting hardware installations (iOS, Android), as well as a supporting web Portal and an admin interface, together forming a unified and transparent ecosystem. The system is based on open standards (DALI, Zigbee), making it compatible with third-party devices as well. QR code-based installation significantly speeds up commissioning, while the VIVARES Portal and Admin system provide comprehensive management. The project strategy was established through workshops and in-person meetings in Munich, which formed the basis for the system architecture and communication protocol. UX/UI design was carried out based on the results of dedicated workshops, with a focus on optimizing the user experience. Development is realized through international collaboration in several countries across the world.
